This sweater is a lovely classic shape, with a crew neck collar and is worked seamlessly in the round from the top down. This sweater can be knit to be looser or more fitted depending on your own preference and the length can be adjusted to be cropped or long! Petiteknit patterns are enormously popular and they are laid out well with clear instructions. A copy of the printed pattern is included in the course cost. You can view the pattern here.

What do I need to bring?

This sweater presents a great opportunity to learn to knit with 2 stands. The pattern recommends a fingering/ 4ply weight yarn held together with a mohair for a softer, drapier look. (PetiteKnit uses a 100% merino fingering yarn held with a silk mohair for her version) We recommend Knitting For Olive Merino held with Knitting For Olive Soft Silk Mohair or Rowan Kid Silk Haze. Alternatively if you don't want to knit with 2 strands held together, we recommend a DK such as Rowan Felted Tweed or for a more substantial sweater Sandnes Garn Double Sunday. If you decide to buy your supplies with us you will get a 10% discount. Alternatively, if you already have suitable yarn you would like to use, this is absolutely ok too!

You will also need to bring 3.5mm 40cm circular needles and 4mm 40cm -100cm circular needles. Please note that depending on your gauge you may need different needle sizes than those specified in the pattern. Gauge and needle size will be discussed at length in session one.

Tea, coffee and refreshments will be provided and you will also get a 10% discount on any yarn you buy in store on the evening of your classes.
