The Book Club Cardigan KAL

I am very excited to say we are launching the first Knit Lounge KAL! This laid back knit-a-long is completely free and is open to anyone. So here we go ..........

What pattern?

I have chosen Sari Norlund's new pattern The Book Club Cardigan as I know many of us have been eagerly awaiting its release (especially the Knit Night group!) This all over cable design is simply stunning with lots of special details and 2 collar options. It may seem like a strange choice as we head into the warmer summer months BUT if we start now we will have our beautiful finished cardigans ready for autumn! You can buy the pattern from Ravelry or Sari's own website.

What time?

The KAL will 'officially' start on the 11th June but feel free to join in whenever you like. This should give everyone time to get their chosen yarn and supplies together before we start. The last day of the KAL will be the 11th September. You can knit at any pace you like. There is no schedule or deadlines. This is just for fun and there is no pressure to finish when the KAL does.

What are the details?

We are setting up a knit-a-long page in our Ravelry group where everyone is welcome to share ideas, tips and tricks, yarn choices and to ask any questions. I will endeavour to get back to you quickly but everyone is free to ask for and give helpful advise. The KAL is completely free and you are welcome to participate just through our Ravelry group if you wish. However, if you sign up here you will get an email with lots of extra info about yarn suggestions, colour inspiration and a 10% discount code to use on any yarn you may need (Feel free to use stash or any yarn you like for this KAL though) You will also get links to 2 Zoom calls! One for the Cast On Party on the 11th June at 8pm and one for the Cast Off Party on the 11th September at 8pm. This means you can join in from anywhere in the world! If you are more local feel free to bring your Book Club Cardigan along to one of our regular Knit Nights. Our cozy, friendly group meets twice a month and everyone is welcome. You can book your space via our website.

Anything else?

Please make sure we have your email address so we can send you our welcome message with the extra details, discount code and zoom links. The welcome email should arrive within a few days so please check you Spam or Junk folder. If you don't receive your welcome email please contact us.
