More about PetiteKnit

PetiteKnit is the design brand of Danish knitwear designer Mette Wendelboe Okkels. Known for her timeless Scandinavian aesthetic and exceptionally clear pattern writing, PetiteKnit has become one of the most recognised names in modern knitting. Her designs focus on wearable wardrobe staples, combining beautiful construction details with a minimalist style that pairs perfectly with premium natural yarns such as Sandnes Garn and Knitting for Olive.

When selecting yarn for a pattern, PetiteKnit thinks of both the quality of the yarn and the production of it. The yarn manufacturers she chooses to work with and use in her patterns, are all ones she feels has a sustainable approach to both animal welfare and the further treatment of the yarn. PetiteKnit primarily suggests yarn of natural materials and materials of a durable quality.

In collaboration with Sandnes Garn, PetiteKnit has developed the yarns Sunday and Double Sunday, which are both non-superwashed merino wool yarns. Choosing not to superwash the yarn is both better for the environment and helps preserve the natural properties of the wool.
