Arne & Carlos Mystery Stocking Knit-Along 2025 - Kit

Back for it's 3rd year, Arne & Carlos have designed another exclusive mystery stocking pattern for us to knit in time for Christmas eve! I have loved following along and making my stocking each year and with just a few rounds to knit each day it's easy to follow along and keep up. 

Arne & Carlos's free mystery stocking knit-along for 2025 follows in the footsteps of the popular versions from 2023 and 2024. This year, though, will not be quite the same. A few surprises are waiting — little twists that Arne & Carlos hope will make you smile — and all will be revealed on October 27, when the first episode goes live on their Youtube channel and blog.

From then, the journey continues for four cosy weeks, ending on November 23. Each day from Monday to Saturday, Arne & Carlos will share a new clue — a small section to knit — slowly shaping itself into a finished Christmas stocking. Sundays will bring something extra, with special surprises woven into the weekly episodes! 

The pattern is completely free and will be available both on their blog, where you can download the daily clues and charts and on their YouTube channel, where Arne & Carlos will guide you through each step in the pattern. 

For last years stocking I used Baa Ram Ewe Pip Colourwork held double and it turned out so good I'll be using it again this year. I've put together 2 colour vibes for these kits, Vintage or Bright. One has a more subtle, traditional feel and one is more vibrant. Both options will come with a shiny red shell button and Christmas ribbon for hanging.

The Vintage bundle includes the following shades:

• Wesley Bob Red x 2 balls
• White Rose x 2 balls
• Cottingley Green x 2 balls
• Jorvik Yellow x 1 ball
• Hessle Blue x 1 ball
• Red shell button and ribbon for hanging

The Bright bundle includes the following shades:

• Wesley Bob Red x 2 balls
• White Rose x 2 balls
• Roundhay Green x 2 balls
• Jorvik Yellow x 1 ball
• Settle Blue x 1 ball
• Red shell button and ribbon for hanging

You can of course choose your own yarns and colours and if you need any help deciding do let us know and we will do our best to help. You will also need the following needles:

• Set of DPNs 3mm and 3.5 mm or circulars if you prefer.
