Baa Ram Ewe Coast is an Aran yarn that is perfect for chunky cable knit projects like sweaters and hats, knitting up quickly to finish projects in no time at all. Traditionally used in the coastal regions of Britain and Ireland to create cable knit sweaters, Aran yarn is a 100% British wool, produced here by British brand Baa Ram Ewe.
One of our favourite projects with the Baa Ram Ewe Coast is the Baa Ram Ewe Knitting Pattern Lymington Hat and Snood. The collection are worsted spun and hank dyed following traditional methods, with an additional organic based softener that’s applied after dying. 100% of Baa Ram Ewe Yarn comes from non-mulesed sheep.
Inspired by the traditional coastal impact on Aran yarn, with the Irish island of Aran giving the yarn its name, the shades in this collection of Baa Ram Ewe Coast aran are inspired by fishermen, the coastline, and the sea.
