Capsule Sweater No. 1

The Capsule sweater no. 1 carries a classic hip-length look with a crew neck and neckline complemented by long, narrowing sleeves. Knitted top-down in knit stitches, raglan construction is used with increases M1L and M1R to shape the yoke. Rib stitch patterns decorate the cuffs, hem, and neckline. Its body can be easily extended if required; more yarns should be calculated for this purpose. With its narrow silhouette at the bottom, it adds a touch of elegance and femininity to any outfit!

Alternative Yarns:
Good substitutes might be John Arbon Havest Hues and Rowan Kid Silk Haze. For a gorgeously soft version I recommend Walcot Yarn Origin held single.

5mm (US8, UK6) and 4mm (US6, UK8) 40-60-80-100cm (16-24-31-39in) circular needles and 5mm (U8, UK6) and 4mm (US6, UK8) 20cm (7.75in) 5 pcs. double point needles.

Gauge:
10cm x 10cm (4’’ x 4’’) = 16 stitches x 24.5 rows in Stockinette stitch after washing.

Notions:
9 closed stitch markers, 2 pieces of different colour yarns of 50cm (20in) length, tapestry needle.
