Introduction to Stranded Colourwork Knitting with Annah from Needle & Feather

We are so excited to welcome Annah of Needle & Feather to the shop to teach her wonderful intro to colourwork workshop!

This workshop will take place on 10th October at 10am - 12.30pm.

This workshop is perfect for beginners to colourwork knitting, or those who want to improve their technique, troubleshoot issues and make the most of this fantastically varied technique.

Annah from Needle And Feather is a trained Textiles teacher, knitwear designer and has sold thousands of colourwork patterns, helping people across the world to knit fantastic colourwork creations. And, this extra special workshop takes place to co-inside with the launch of her very first book, Knit An Heirloom Blanket! We have a pre-order of the book available and Annah will be signing copies on the day.

What will you learn?
During this workshop, you will work through a series of charts, each of which will focus on a different technique or aspect of colourwork. The ability to knit and purl confidently is essential, however no experience with colourwork is required. This workshop will cover choosing your colours, managing floats and multiple yarns, emphasising certain stitches and much more!

What you need to bring:
You’ll need to bring yarn and needles: DK or Aran weight is recommended. Bring yarn in a range of colours, ideally 5 or more. You’ll only need a small amount of each colour, maximum 10g of each.

Tea, coffee and refreshments will be provided and you will also get a 10% discount on any yarn you buy in store on the day! 

After the class there is an opportunity to browse Annah's pop up shop and have a look at  her brand new book, Knit an Heirloom Blanket (and get it signed by Annah!)

Important: You must be able to cast on and knit and purl confidently to attend this class. If you cancel your booking a refund can only be given if your spot is taken by someone else so please give as much notice as possible by emailing or popping instore.
