Knitting For Olive Pure Silk 50g

Pure Silk by Knitting for Olive is the ultimate in luxury knitting for spring and summer. Used alone it makes beautiful, elegant knit projects like summer t-shirts, vests and dresses  but it will also make a luxurious lightweight sweater when combined with Knitting for Olive's Soft Silk Mohair. Knitting for Olive Pure Silk is made of 100 % bourette silk (silk waste created during silk processing) and the short, leftover silk fibres are spun into a new yarn. It has a rustic and slightly uneven look and is less shiny than other types of silk. 

Knitting for Olive Pure Silk yarn is a soft, exclusive yarn of pure bourette silk (raw silk) produced from silk fibres collected from cocoons after the chrysalises have matured into moths and escape, thereby allowing them to complete their life cycle.

Silk has extensive heat-regulating qualities and can absorb up to 30% of its weight in moisture while still feeling dry against your skin. It's therefore especially suitable for summer wear.
