Ravelry is an amazing tool for knitters, crocheters and fibre artists but can be a daunting site to use at first. If you have ever wanted to search for patterns, plan and record your projects, choose and substitute yarns, get knitting help with a pattern or even join a knitting forum, Ravelry does it all.  You can even track and manage your stash and needle collection so you always know what you have at home even on the go.

This workshop will start at 10.30am and last 2.5 hours. You will need to bring a laptop or tablet with you to use during the session.

This workshop will introduce you to the Ravelry website and help you navigate the many useful functions it offers. In the class we will cover:

Creating an Account: If you don't already have one we will create your account. It's completely free to do this and you just need an email address.

The Pattern Database: Search the database with confidence and find the exact pattern that suits your requirements. We will look at advance search functions and even how to look for free patterns.

Yarn Options and Substitutions: Find out more about the yarn used in a certain pattern or project, how much yarn you will need to make it in your size or look at yarn substitutions. We can also look at what yarns were popular for the pattern and see peoples completed projects using those yarns.

Creating Your Project Page and Tracking your Stash: Keep notes on your project and handy information all in one place.

Using your Library: Keep track of your digital and printed patterns and understand how to search through the patterns you already have.

This fun session will last 2.5 hours and tea, coffee and refreshments will be provided.  You will also get a 10% discount on any yarns you buy in store on the day!

Please Note: You will need to bring a laptop or tablet with you to this session (we do not recommend using your phone) Please make sure your electricals are fully charged, however, if you need to plug anything in we will have extension cords and outlets available.

If you cancel your booking a refund can only be given if your spot is taken by someone else so please give as much notice as possible by emailing or popping instore. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact us via email or phone. contact@theknitlouge.com , Tel: 07767 279145
