I cast on the Sophie Hood by Petiteknit on Valentines day thinking this would just be a quick knit for me but the resulting combination and fabric was just too good not to share! After walking around the shop looking for the perfect red I plumped for Lang Yarns Merino 150 and Fyberspates Cumulus to be held together to get gauge. I was not disappointed! The two yarns knit up beautifully together. The resulting fabric is soft, squidgy and plump with lots of warmth and the perfect balance of drape and structure for the hood. The marriage of these yarns and pattern was too good not to share. I've put together some yarn bundles where the yarns colours match perfectly. A great project if you are quite new to knitting or if you have done a few projects and are looking for something slightly more challenging than a plain scarf. For more experienced knitters this will simply fly off the needles and was such a joy to knit I didn't want to put it down.
